Who We Are

Our founder, Julie Davis, created Pura Vida Body & Mind Spa and Pura Vitale Skin Care with one goal in mind– to change people's perceptions about how to achieve total wellness. Instead of spa days being viewed as a luxury, at Pura Vida Body & Mind, we view spa services as a necessity! To change the world’s perception, however, the spa itself has to change. 

How We're Different

Pura Vida Body & Mind Spa provides a new approach to improving overall health by combining medical treatments that restore youthfulness and wellness with non-medical treatments that promote relaxation and serenity to re-energize the mind. Our holistic, results-centric solutions improve the skin, improve confidence, reduce stress, and restore the body and mind to a more youthful and healthy state of being.

At Pura Vida Body & Mind, we live by our corporate motto of I.C.A.N. - Inspiring Clients to Achieve Nirvana. To help each client grow closer to a state of enlightenment, our team works relentlessly to provide treatments, therapies, and results that release clients from their negative feelings about themselves and that negatively impact physical and mental wellness. 

 

The phrase Pura Vida originated from Costa Rica, which has been named one of the happiest countries in the world, mostly because its inhabitants don’t stress about things the way we do. To Costa Ricans, pura vida means being thankful for what you have and not dwelling on the negative. Pura Vida is an attitude, it’s happiness, and it’s a way of life.  This couldn’t fit more perfectly with our Spa’s vision, mission, and purpose and thus it had to be our name! 

So, don’t be surprised if you are greeted upon arrival with a big Pura Vida! rather than the usual American "hello."
